Intro

Catapult’s GPS technology has taken the elite sports market by storm. The revolutionary wearable GPS trackers are designed to improve the performance and game of athletes.

Match Day Media worked in partnership with Catapult to deliver a grassroots campaign which generated direct sales and brought attention and recognition to the product.

Objective

Produce an engaging campaign for social media showcasing PlayerTek products to football players, coaches and match analysis staff.

Increase traffic and interaction with the football consumer.

Drive online sales.

Delivery

Match Day Media created a media campaign to engage grassroots football players, across social media (Grass Root Goals) and club websites (Pitchero).

First, the campaign introduced heatmaps, a key feature of PlayerTek, in a comical style which were used to engage players across the Grass Root Goals social media channel.

Second, using the Pitchero network of 60,000 grassroots teams, we enlisted the help of amateur side Ossett Town to demo the benefits of PlayerTek.

Videos were created by Match Day Media and posted online. The campaign reached over 1.3M people and over 20k engagements on posts.

This was done without any boosting of posts or paid promotion, an incredible result!!
